Matt Landscapes

Matt has spent many years developing his painting techniques, from traditional style to abstract. After moving to the Peak District area, he has been inspired by the natural landscapes and light.

Matt's Story

Matt absorbs the landscapes and scenes while out for walks, observing colour and shape. In his painting he likes to convey the emotions and sensations he feels when out walking.

To achieve this he paints from memory and does not paint actual scenes. He mostly paints without brushes, using a range of tools made by himself.

He usually works on a number of paintings at the same time and aims to keep his work interesting and uncomplicated
